Organiser's Note

Welcome to the first edition of Run Gandhinagar Run. Being a non-profit entity, we have kept a very nominal race fee for our runners. It is our vision that through this run, every citizen of Gandhinagar leads a healthy life. May the culture of running develops and everybody comes out and enjoy the beautiful mornings of Gandhinagar. We also pledge that earnings if any, would be spent on patients with congenital heart diseases.

 

Rules / Event Conditions

Age Criteria
All participants are required to be at least 18 years of age or above in order to qualify for entering the Half-Marathon segment of the race. The 7K Dream Run is open for all ages.

Identification
All participants are required to provide a valid proof of age in the form of photocopies / scanned copies of a valid govt. issued age proof and id proof for completing registration process.

Personal Information
It is assumed that a participant has given true and fair information about themselves to the organizers. If any fraudulent information is found, the organizers have the right to disqualify and remove such participants from the event at any time without refunds.

Medical Qualification
Physical fitness is essential for participation. It is required that all participants be physically fit on Race Day to be able to run in the race. Even though a particiant may hold a valid BIB, he/she may be disqualified for safety reasons if such participants are found to be physically unfit to run in the event.

Race Directors and Marshalls
Race Marshalls will be posted all across the race route. All participants are required to follow their instructions at all times. Failure to do so will result in disqualification or heavy penalties or both, depending on the nature of unruly conduct. Please note that no refunds will be processed in such a scenario to any participant found in violation.

Refunds
No refunds will be entertained once a participant has registered and made the payment. If the event is cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, the registration fee paid by participants will be adjusted towards future events.

Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to behave in the spirit of sportsmanship towards organizers and with each other. Unruly participants will be immediately disqualified without any refunds and will be immediately escorted out of the race.

BIB
BIB is your entry pass to the event. All registered participants must have a valid BIB in order to successfully begin the race. The BIB has to be worn on the cheast so that it is clearly visible. Remember, No BIB, No Participation!

BIB Collection
Details of bib collection will be sent via email to all registered participants 2 to 3 days prior to the event. Remember you should have completed your payment process in order to receive the BIB. The same information will also be published on the website.

All participants must collect their BIB before the event date, by presenting a valid proof of registration, payment and ID proof. In case a participant is unable to collect his/her BIB personally, a representative may collect it on their behalf after presenting a valid proof of such participant's registration, payment, representative's ID, and an authorization letter from the participant.

Note: BIBS will not be distributed on Race Day.

Transportation
All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the race venue. Furthermore, every participant is expected to reach the race venue at least half and hour before the race start time. Once the race is flagged off, no late entries will be entertained, and under no circumstances will a refund be initiated for latecomers.

Running Attire
Participants are required to be dressed in proper running attire, ie proper running shoes, shorts, t-shirts etc.

Timing your Run
Timing chips will be provided only to half-marathon participants. It is a participant's responsibility to correctly attach the timing chip and pass over the timing mats. Please note that the timing is done electronically and there is a chance that your timing may not get recorded due to any unforeseen malfunction. In such a scenario, the organizers do not hold any liability.

Cut-off Time
Cut-off Time for Half Marathon participants is 3.5 Hours.

Finishers' Certificates
Certificates will be available online only. The certificates will carry your timings and will be made available within 7 days of event completion after proper verification of timing chips.

Medals' Distribution
Medals will only be given to Half Marathon participants.

Rules and Regulations of the event are subject to change at anytime without notice. It is therefore a participant's responsibility to visit this page regularly to ensure that they are up-to-date with every rule and regulation inscribed on this website for the purpose of this event.
